Aeris Resources is a diversified mining and exploration company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: AIS) and headquartered in Brisbane, Queensland.

The Challenge

Aeris Resources required advice on the execution phase of an ERP implementation, specifically specialised advice to assist with the project implementation plan to ensure that the service provider addressed all the critical steps in their project plan. It was critical to adhere to the tight project timeline to ensure a successful implementation.

SMC provided specialist expertise assisting in developing a realistic project plan, including vendor milestones and client-side activities. Throughout the project we undertook to explain the very technical issues experienced throughout the process including the risks involved, proposed alternative steps and reorganised action plans throughout the process to ensure that communications with the vendor remained focussed and on time. SMC also assisted in providing the framework for the UAT testing and a detailed plan for all users to ensure a smooth transition prior to going live.
